The oldest house in Chicago, The Clarke House, and its counterpart, The Glessner House served as a fitting backdrop for Christina and Andy’s big day. My husband, the officiant, couldn’t have said it better when he said, “We’re standing outside the oldest house in Chicago as we celebrate man’s oldest ceremony – marriage.” He’s good with words like that.
It could not have been a more beautiful summer day as Christina and Andy stood before their family and friends to become husband and wife. With a slight breeze and bright sunshine filtering through Chicago Women’s Park, everyone celebrated with them. I can say that in all of the weddings that I’ve been a part of, I’ve never seen so much love and appreciation amongst a group of people. It was hard to determine where the family members ended and the friends began. What an amazing thing to have that many people love and care about you so much. I think it is such a testament to the type of people Christina and Andy are. They are kind, caring, giving, and full of love for each other and those around them. What a beautiful celebration of a beautiful couple.
