Since I had photographed Marco’s big brother last winter, his mommy called me to take pictures of his own first birthday this summer. It was a beautiful day for a birthday party at the park and his mommy even took the same creative steps as last time and decorated for her special boy’s first birthday. I think maybe these two little guys are so fun for me to work with because they are just about the same age as my two guys. It makes my heart happy to be able to give the gift of first birthday photographs to their mommy.
The best part was when Marco dove into his birthday cake. Although he was timid at first, he finally got the hang of it and had it ALL over him. At one point, his mommy asked him for a kiss and what you see here was the best she could get. He just kept leaning his head over as if to say, “No, you kiss me, mommy.”
